Welcome to our first post š¤ I hope to keep you updated here fairly frequently with the goings on behind the scenes at The Gart. We also wanted to celebrate the launch of our long awaited website with you! I'm sure there are a few more tweaks but I'm impatient and couldn't wait any longer so here it is ā¤ We will be hosting a competition very soon to win a free weekend - with whistles on, for you and your friends. So make sure you keep posted š
We have had a fun packed year so far and hosted some really lovely groups. The feedback has been touching, hop over to trip advisor to see what guests are saying.
The location is stunning, the scale and history of the Highlands has captured my soul. It is the ultimate in escapism and probably only one of a handful of places in the world you can still experience true solitude. This from a Sassanach who literally grew up in a desert and until Scotland believed the heights of Ally Pally in London to be the pinnacle of spectacular views!
Whilst you are never short of something to do in the area, our activities are proving a hit - from clay pigeon shooting and archery on the lawn (pun intended;) to whisky tasting and casino nights in The Gart private bar. You can even catch your own fish in the private stretch of River Teith for the chef to prepare that evening. There really is too much to mention in one post but you can download the activities brochure on our website.
We don't have many dates left for 2019 but have recently released the 2020 dates, the brochure for 2020 can also be found on the website. Make sure you don't miss out ;).
What better way to properly say hi than with one of Stuart's latest paintings - do you recognise who this is? McAlpine Miller is our very own artist in residence. The Gart is inspired by his art, combining a unique country house, art haven and event space. We hope you enjoy staying here as much as we have creating it.
